A Humble Beginning.

The name ‘Hayloft’ is inspired by Airdrie’s rich agricultural and farming history. Typically, a farm’s hayloft is a space above a barn, stable or cowshed, traditionally used for storage of food, especially dried hay or feed, for cattle and other livestock. From a child’s perspective, it was a place to play hide-and-go-seek and curl up with the fluffy kittens. In the early 1900s, Airdrie was a hub for grain shipment and regarded as one of the strongest Alberta Wheat Pool points in our province. We want to honour Airdrie’s history and become a part of the community, support local suppliers and celebrate the people who have contributed to Airdrie over the years.

Hayloft is an independently owned restaurant striving to serve residents of Airdrie and surrounding areas. Our hope is to provide an establishment that will be a mainstay in Airdrie for many years to come. Hayloft is more than just a place to eat – we will also be a place where family and friends gather to build community and celebrate the small and big moments of life. We want to provide our guests a combination of delicious and approachable comfort food with an environment that is warm and welcoming.
